Applicants meet the following qualifications:
- Enrolled as a full time student at Virginia Wesleyan University during the 2024-25 academic year
- Minimum GPA of 2.7
- Demonstrate significant financial need
- Demonstrated through FAFSA's Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and Need Statement
- Submit an application to their chosen study away course before the grant deadline
- Pay the study away course deposit before the grant deadline
Awards are granted based on:
- Financial need
- Academic performance
- Quality of the Global Engagement Statement
- Priority is given to students who are enrolled in 4-credit courses and have not previously received a Lighthouse Global Engagement Grant
