The Fun Zone - Spiritual Wellness Pillar
Campus Ministries hosts many events through The Marlin Wellness Program. Marlin Wellness is an initiative to intentionally engage students in the eight pillars of wellness (intellectual, social, physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and financial). The goal of this initiative is to foster student autonomy by creating the opportunity to learn how to champion personal health and wellness as well as develop distress tolerance and problem solving skills.
In addition to the variety of programs offered throughout each term, the Marlin Wellness Council hosts T.B.I.F. (Thank Bob It’s Friday) activities, each Friday afternoon during the academic year to help bring Marlins together and provide opportunities around one or more pillar of wellness.
Attending Marlin Wellness events offers the opportunity to win prizes and entries into event, semester, and year long grand prizes.
Members of the Marlin community can find more information about these events through department social media platforms, postings around campus, the Campus Activities calendar, VWU email, and by stopping by the Marlin Wellness TV located next to the Batten Plaza desk.
