Comprised of four undergraduate departments—Business, Education, Social Work, and Sport and Recreation Professions—the D. Henry Watts School of Professional Studies offers a well-rounded, cross-disciplinary education that prepares students to lead and excel in increasingly complex environments. Each program has required internships, student teaching, or field experiences that prepare students for life and career and underscore the University’s core values of academic excellence, inclusivity, personal integrity, and social responsibility. The D. Henry Watts School of Professional Studies is gratefully named for Virginia Wesleyan University Trustee Henry Watts, a longtime leader and supporter of the institution who is committed to the University’s mission and active in campus life.
