Tidewater Collegiate Academy Students Shine at Model UN Conference (02-20-2025)
A group of Tidewater Collegiate Academy (TCA) students, all of whom are also dual-enrolled at Virginia Wesleyan University, recently represented the United Arab Emirates at the 48th ODU Model United Nations Conference. As part of an event that brought together 776 students from across the region, TCA participants had the unique opportunity to engage in global diplomacy while proudly sharing their academic experiences at VWU.
“These students had an amazing time and loved telling their peers about the opportunities they have here on campus,” said Dr. Wendy Scott, TCA Founder and Director. “Thank you to Virginia Wesleyan for making it possible for such a diverse group of kids to live into their potential.”
Through its dual enrollment program, VWU and TCA offers students a rigorous college experience while still in high school, providing them with a strong academic foundation and the opportunity to earn up to 64 college credits. Their participation in events like Model UN highlights the strength of this innovative partnership and its impact on shaping future leaders.
