Virginia Wesleyan's Campus Life Office works to support the mission of the University to engage students in a rigorous liberal arts education that will prepare them to meet the challenges of life and career in a rapidly changing world. The office strives to create exciting and engaging campus experiences that complement the academic program. On any given day at Virginia Wesleyan students can be found participating in athletics, singing with the choir, practicing for a play, planning for an art show, gathering news for the student newspaper, leading prayer and Bible study, partaking in an aerobics or rock climbing session, and engaging in social activities in the Jane P. Batten Student Center. Guided by the Senior Vice President, the campus life program encourages all students to grow outside the classroom.
The Senior Vice President oversees the following campus departments and contracted services:
- Batten Student Center
- Campus Ministries
- Campus Security
- Counseling and Student Health
