The college journey began for incoming freshmen in the Class of 2022 on June 22 and 25 during Marlin Nation Orientation. Students and their families participated in sessions that helped to prepare them for life on campus this fall.

From learning more about housing and residential life and how to navigate the financial aid process to exploring Coastal Virginia and campus safety, each orientation topic was designed to successfully acclimate the incoming freshmen to university life.

Students also met with their advisors to build fall class schedules and engaged in activities such as “speed friending” and exploration of the VWU campus by earning “passport” stamps that were counted toward a raffle drawing at the end of the eventful day.
