Virginia Wesleyan University President Scott D. Miller, co-founder of the “President to President” series, enters his 22nd year as Executive Editor of the nationally respected publication. Each year, the series convenes leading voices in higher education to explore key challenges and innovations in university leadership.
This year’s edition, titled “President to President 2025-2026: Intentional Efforts in Belonging,” highlights how college and university presidents are intentionally shaping campus cultures to foster belonging, engagement, and a shared sense of purpose. Each chapter presents a case study of leadership that strengthens student, faculty, and staff connections through human-centered strategy.
Dr. Amelia Parnell, President of NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, authored the foreword. She writes, “College presidents play a uniquely influential role, balancing challenges and opportunities amid shifting financial, technological, and societal landscapes. This publication shares real stories from presidents, offering peer-to-peer insights during a time of rapid change and increasing accountability in higher education.”
