Weather Update:

The University will be closed on Friday, February 21, due to weather conditions in our immediate area. All non-essential employees should work remotely from home.  Students should monitor their University email and check Blackboard for faculty instructions, as some classes will be conducted remotely. Essential personnel should report to campus as scheduled.

We anticipate returning to normal operations on Monday, February 24.

Latest issue includes financial report and highlights campus updates, university accolades, and student stories

The winter 2025 issue of Virginia Wesleyan University Magazine is now available. This special edition showcases features such as “Exploring Urban Ecology in Japan;” “WesBridge Sentara Health Scholars Program;” “State of the University;” “Support for Low-Income STEM Students;” “Fall Sports Highlights”; and “Virginia MOCA Building Rises,” It also includes the 2023-2024 Annual Report.

“Beyond the data, we take pride in sharing stories of students making a difference on campus, in the community, and around the globe,” said President Scott D. Miller. “Our achievements would not be possible without the generosity of our benefactors. Among those we honor are the late Anne B. Shumadine, a trustee whose vision helped shape our prestigious Batten Honors College; Trustee Emerita Jane P. Batten and Executive-in-Residence David R. Black, whose contributions have enriched the School for International Studies that now bears their names; and Trustee G. Robert “Bob” Aston, Jr., whose extraordinary support extends to both VWU and our Partner in Progress, Chesapeake Bay Academy, which has dedicated its building in his honor.”
