Spring 2021 Port Day: April 22-26

Students have opportunities to share academic experiences with campus community during virtual Port Day

University News | April 15, 2021

Get ready for Port Day! From April 22-26, students are invited to share their academic work with the campus community through virtual engagement in Port Day, a signature Virginia Wesleyan event held near the end of each semester.

Coordinated by VWU’s Lighthouse: Center for Exploration & Discovery, Port Day has been a premier initiative that reaffirms Virginia Wesleyan's commitment to academic excellence and student success.

Port Day provides the opportunity to celebrate the academic achievements of students completing undergraduate research, internship, and semester study-away experiences. This spring, in order to balance safety concerns caused by the pandemic with VWU’s education mission, this tradition has been altered in format and scope.

The spring program is a virtual event with pre-recorded student videos. The students’ presentations will be displayed on the Port Day YouTube channel. All members of the VWU community will have access to the channel to view the presentations and ask questions using the comments feature.
