Virginia Wesleyan University is proud to share the 2024-2025 edition of President to President, a groundbreaking higher education thought leadership series featuring insights from renowned college and university presidents. This year’s series, titled “Game Changers in Higher Education,” examines how new ideas, strategies, and influences are driving significant change on college campuses and creating meaningful, immediate and long-term impacts.

Dr. Scott D. Miller, President of Virginia Wesleyan University, has served as Executive Editor for this landmark publication for the past 21 years. “We hope you’ll enjoy delving into this timely topic with us over the course of 10 chapters, each authored by an esteemed higher education thought leader at the forefront of innovative philosophies and practices that give their campus a competitive advantage,” says Dr. Miller. “We will publish a new chapter online each month, showcasing fresh perspectives, creative ideas, and new strategies that are relevant to the challenges facing your campus today.”

The first chapter by Adrian College President Jeffrey R. Docking, Ph.D., will be available in early September. In the meantime, learn more about the exciting things to come by reading this year's foreword, written by Ellen Chaffee, Ph.D., Interim President and CEO of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges.

As the series progresses, readers will explore the challenges faced by higher education in a nation marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, along with the thoughtful and creative decisions made by highly-respected educators. The "President to President" series remains a key platform for discussing the future of higher education.
