Virginia Wesleyan hosted a Meet and Greet for campus partners on May 18 in Pearce Hospitality Suite.  The event was coordinated by Brian Kurisky, director of Wesleyan Engaged: Center for Civic Leadership and Service Learning.

Representatives from more than 25 organizations attended the informal social event to meet members of the VWU community and discuss what they do and how VWU faculty and students can collaborate with them through volunteerism and other mutually beneficial projects.

“There are so many opportunities for Virginia Wesleyan to engage with our community partners,” said Kurisky. “Civic engagement is an important aspect of our students’ experience and my hope is that faculty and staff  will take advantage of this chance to learn more about these organizations and their needs so that we can build even stronger relationships for the benefit of both organizations.”
