Virginia Wesleyan University’s Marlins Day Open House over the weekend was a huge success, welcoming the largest number of prospective students and their families in recent years. The day began with early bird tours of VWU's beautiful 300-acre campus, followed by a welcome session in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center with remarks from President Scott D. Miller and Vice President for Enrollment Heather Campbell '04, followed by panel discussions.

Throughout the morning, visitors enjoyed the Virginia Wesleyan’s campus, met VWU faculty and staff, and learned about academic offerings, scholarships, residence life, dining services, the financial aid process and more. Over at the Batten Student Center, guests perused through the Academic and Resource Fair where there were representatives from every major and office on campus available to answer questions.

Guests also had the opportunity to watch a women’s lacrosse game at beautiful Birdsong Field and a major eSports tournament, Collision on the Coast which was covered by WTKR, at ToweBank Arena.

"We were thrilled to host a significant turnout and provide them with an in-depth look at our campus community,” said Campbell. “The campus visit plays a crucial role in the decision-making process and it was nice to see so many excited prospective students."
