In Full Bloom: 2024 Spring Academic Symposium Showcased Student Endeavors
Students shared capstone academic experiences with the campus community during the day-long event

On May 3, an extensive and remarkable body of student work was center stage at VWU during the Spring Academic Symposium. From premier speakers and senior exhibits, music recitals and concerts, to presentations on research, internships and academic projects, the spotlight was on student capstone experiences.
An Honors Convocation, where special awards were presented to outstanding students, was also a part of the day's events. The symposium culminated with an academic fair and poster session.
Held near the end of each semester, Academic Symposium has been a signature Virginia Wesleyan event coordinated by VWU’s Lighthouse: Center for Exploration & Discovery. The day brings the campus community together to celebrate the achievement of students who have completed a variety of academic experiences. The symposium is intended to promote advanced level thinking and intellectual discourse among various academic disciplines, as well as the exchange of ideas and inspiration that result from the public presentation of exceptional student endeavors.
