Homecoming and Family Weekend 2018

Alumni, students, parents and friends gather October 5, 6 and 7 for annual traditions

University News | September 18, 2018

The Virginia Wesleyan University campus will be bustling with activity during Homecoming and Family Weekend 2018, Friday, October 5 – Sunday, October 7. Plans for this year’s event include a parade, athletic contests, alumni games, and a 5K fun run. Saturday’s FinFest will bring a variety of food trucks, Hoffman Beverage, a chili cook off and inflatable bounce houses to Trinder Center Lawn.

The excitement begins on Marlin Spirit Day, Wednesday, October 3, when the VWU community is encouraged to wear their favorite VWU gear at home, at work, or at play. Send photos that demonstrate your Marlin Spirit (hats, shirts, diplomas, etc.) and adorn your children and pets too. Tweet your snapshots to @vawesleyan using #marlinspiritday or share them on Facebook (facebook.com/vawesleyan or facebook.com/virginia.wesleyan.alumni). Photos can also be emailed to virginiawesleyan@vwu.edu. Need VWU gear? Visit the University Store for Marlin attire and more.
