Fifty-six members of the Virginia Wesleyan community were recognized on August 4 at an Employee Milestone Appreciation Breakfast held on campus in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center.
Faculty and staff were honored for achieving significant milestones in their careers at VWU—from a decade of service to working at the University for 35 years. The event celebrated those who reached milestones in 2021, as well as those who celebrated an anniversary in 2020 during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are so pleased to have each of you here with us today to honor the special milestones you have reached in your Virginia Wesleyan careers," said Dr. Scott D. Miller, President of the University. "While we are celebrating some of you later than we would have preferred, I am delighted to be able to host an event like this once again on our beautiful campus.”
