While at VWU, what activities were you engaged in?
After transferring in my junior year, school, internships, and softball took up most of my time. Also, I was a Presidential Associate in the Office of the President through the Work and Learn Program. This role helped me stay connected with the different activities going on at campus.
What was your favorite place on campus?
The Sports and Recreation Lounge
How did your time at Virginia Wesleyan most impact your success?
Attending Virginia Wesleyan University provided a solid foundation for my personal and professional growth. The University impacted my success because I was supported by a community, dedicated professors, and diverse opportunities for academic and extracurricular activity engagement.
The connections I made with my peers, mentors, professors, and alumni during my time at VWU helped guide me in the right direction and prepare me for the real world. Whether through internships, research experiences, or networking events, I developed relationships that lead to my career and the job opportunity I now enjoy.
Best memory of your time at VWU?
My best memory that I have from Virginia Wesleyan is being a part of the Virginia Wesleyan Softball team (career stats), and making it to the Super Regionals both years that I was there. Hitting a 3-home run against TCNJ in the top of the 7th, celebrating all the victories with my teammates, and experiencing a pivotal moment of personal growth on and off the field. Remembering all of the good and bad times evokes a lot of emotions and highlights some of the most cherished moments of my athletic journey.
