What is your favorite BHC-related memory?
My favorite BHC related memory is last summer when I had the amazing opportunity to study away in Haines, Alaska. I have never seen a place with more natural beauty. Every morning I got to wake up to eagles soaring through the sky in front of a glacier range right in our backyard.
What is your most significant takeaway from being a member of the Batten Honors College?
My most significant takeaway from being a member of the BHC is the importance of community and cooperation in an academic/work setting. I owe much of my success academically to problem solving and studying hard with my classmates.
What is the most prominent skill that you have gained as a BHC student?
The most prominent skill I have gained as a BHC student is time management. I am pre-med, play golf for VWU, have a campus co-op job, and am a member of a fraternity. Time management is essential to make sure I do not fall behind in any of these areas.
What advice would you offer to future Batten Honors College students?
Some advice I would offer to future Batten Honors College students is to get involved around campus and make new friends. College is a time of great transformation. By picking up responsibilities and connecting with all sorts of people, you can really reinvent yourself for the better once you get to VWU.
