IT Certification Prep Workshop

March 9 - April 29, 2026

This workshop is the prerequisite for the CompTIA Certification workshops. Students will learn and review basic computer concepts and terminology to prepare them for the CompTIA A+ and Security+ workshops. The prep workshop is designed for those students seeking to enroll in the A+ workshop.

CompTIA A+ Core 2

March 10 - April 30, 2026

Prepare for success with the CompTIA A+ Core 2 workshop. This workshop prepares participants for the CompTIA A+ exam. CompTIA A+ is the industry standard for launching IT careers into today's digital world.

Notes: The CompTIA A+ Core Series requires candidates to pass two exams: Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102).

CompTIA Security+

CompTIA Security+ is the first security certification a candidate should earn. It establishes the core knowledge required of any cybersecurity role and provides a springboard to intermediate-level cybersecurity jobs. Participants are responsible for optional course material costs and must bring their own device if they desire to use one.

From Message to Movement – Building Your Speaking Platform Workshop

Excel Associate: Introduction to Excel (Session 1 of 3)

March 17 - May 7, 2026

As a candidate for this certification, you demonstrate your ability to apply the main features of Excel. In this first session participants will learn to master creating and managing worksheets and workbooks and creating cells and ranges. This session will cover the skills measured for managing worksheets, workbooks, data cells, and ranges. The Microsoft Office Specialist certification demonstrates the skills needed to get the most out of Excel.

Project Management Plus PMP

March 10 - May 7, 2026 (break April 13-17)

The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is globally recognized and offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). To qualify for the PMP exam, candidates must meet specific educational and experience requirements.
Completion of this workshop earns a microcredential and electronic badge from VWU.

Cost: Participants are responsible for the $217.00 course material after the start of the workshop.
Note: This workshop contributes to the 35 hours of required project management education/training for PMP® certification. Certification exams must be completed through PMI®.
Please note that there is a registration cap at 20 people, on a first-come, first-served basis. After 20 registrations, any additional requests will be added to a waiting list, and will be notified after the start of the workshop if any seats opened up.

Sales Mastery 1

March 14 - May 2, 2026

This comprehensive 8-module workshop is designed to help you master essential sales techniques, including overcoming objections, effective cold calling and emailing, and closing deals.
