Veterans Information

Active duty and retired veterans are a welcome addition to the Virginia Wesleyan community!

Students who are new to Virginia Wesleyan are encouraged to contact their Certifying Official early in the admissions process to complete all necessary paperwork. Students who are using VA Educational benefits for the first time are reminded that the Regional Office can take up to 4 months to process first-time applications. Active duty, and recently separated military personnel, are encouraged to speak with their Educational Services Officer prior to completing the enrollment process at VWU.

Military Grant
Virginia Wesleyan offers a $149 per credit hour grant to any student participating in the Evening & Weekend or Online Undergraduate programs, who is using Military Tuition Assistance or is Active Duty (not using their GI Bill).  To be eligible for this grant, the student MUST turn in their Tuition Assistance form or copy of their current military orders before the beginning of each semester to VWU’s Certifying Official.
